Panic in the City

Panic in the City ... My dad always says that. Well, that's the theme of the day. This was my bedroom this morning ...

I took down the curtain rods, vent covers, and outlet covers, and happily started priming. I loved the white primer. As I said, all white is what I really wanted, but Mr. T vetoed. We compromised on an off-white. Well, at the first pass of the roller ... "Oh, no. I HATE it." It looked tan. I continued painting but I started panicking. I took a deep breath and a step back. Then, I called Mr. T who was at the grocery to tell him we have to talk about the paint. He was checking out so we agreed to continue the conversation when he got home.

When he arrived, I told him, "I hate the paint." He was relieved that's all it was. He thought that the concern in my voice meant something serious like that I'd knocked over the gallon of paint onto our floors. Mr. T doesn't hate the color, but he's agreed to let me have my white. At least the green is gone.

To be continued ...

  1. Hi, Melanie!
Did you use behr paint from home depo? I painted my son's bedroom with Behr's off white and his bedroom wall looks tan.

  2. Hi Suzie,
Yes, I always use Behr paint. I like it and its not too expensive so when things go bad its not as much of a waste (although my parents will be taking my unused paint). The color was Tuscan Beige and we actually put a small sample in our kitchen and it was a greyish white. Looked totally different in the bedroom. I guess the light changed the look even though I agonized over color samples in the bedroom even at different times of the day. You just never know until you get the paint on the walls.
