The lever on our toilet broke yesterday. I was actually happy about this! Why?
Because I always wanted one like this ...
(The toilet isn't dirty. Paint splatter by the previous owner. I have no idea how one splatters paint in such a manner. Also, excuse the uneven wall. Many layers of wallpaper removed = imperfect walls)
I just had lunch with a friend I haven't seen in several years. She's a busy lady. She has a 14 year old son and she's 16 weeks pregnant. She looks adorable and I'm beyond excited for her.
I'm off to do some work ...
It's amazing how that little detail makes it look so much better!
ReplyDeleteOur bathroom sink faucet broke this week and so I took the opportunity to check Craigslist and found a new sink that I LOVE (hated the old one) and a GORGEOUS faucet for a tiny fraction of what it would have cost us to buy new.
So exciting!!
You're right, it is the little things...and I like the new lever. Isn't it amazing that this little addition can make you smile?!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty lever! No wonder you were happy the old one broke. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved looking at your herb garden post! It is so pretty!
How funny that we obsess over the little details...but it does look pretty good, for a toilet handle :)

A fresh and modern update! You may be able to remove those paint splatters using a razor blade.
ReplyDeleteLove the shape of the new lever. Now tell us the truth you broke that lever on purpose didn't you!!!!LOL
ReplyDeleteAlison
The new lever is adorable. I was thinking pretty much the same thing as the person above me(Alison)....
ReplyDeleteI swear it wasn't me! I was nowhere near the lever when it broke. My husband was responsible. The lever on the inside had actually corroded through.
ReplyDeleteThere are two other levers in the house that might meet with accidents. ;-)
