I've had these silk pillows for a while ... You might notice in the lower right corner, there's a stain ... the result of having children. I've actually washed these with no luck. Silk just isn't kid friendly.
I realized that they were just covers for down inserts, so I removed the silk cover and made these from vintage images ...
Leaves ...
And an owl ...
You might think white isn't kid friendly either, but its actually a TON better than silk. These not only have fabric protector on them but they are also washable. My girls do make a mess on the slipcover, but its nothing a washing machine can't handle. I'm not so much a fan of hiding dirt on upholstered furniture.

ReplyDeletethose are so lovely...love the owl.
ReplyDeleteI love the pillows and you are right white is kid and pet friendly. A little soak in oxyclean and a good day in the sun will take out most any stain. White is so refreshing it renews the spirit.
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job...I am having a new give a-way do hope you stop over...

ReplyDeleteYour new pillows are so much prettier than the original silk ones. My favorite is the owl. I've just discovered the spray bottle of Oxyclean... you can watch stains disappear right before your eyes.
