Christmas Mantle

I changed all the pumpkin decor on my mantle for Christmas going with a seashell theme. After seeing the tree and shell wreath on Wisteria, I figured it would be easy since I already had a lot of the pieces. Here's my tree with shells and starfish in an urn I used outside for Halloween that I painted ...

... and the shell wreath I made in the summer.

I wanted to hang it on a mirror but its just sitting on the mantle at the moment. There is a step to the fireplace so the space above the mantle isn't very high and I've been looking for a mirror for a while. Maybe at the next flea market visit ...

Its so inviting sitting next to this in the evenings compared to how it looked before.

  2. I love the beach theme tree. I made one a few years ago. My son had a beach theme wedding and I kept all of the shells etc. just knowing that someday I would use them. Everyone really liked that little tree. Yours is very pretty, and the tree in the white urn really make it pop.

  3. Very pretty! I love whites and creams and linen colors for Christmas. I did a creamy white, gold, and lime green theme with mine this year, and strayed from the reds. Your fireplace is beautiful, I bet it makes it easy to decorate for the holidays. Did you whitewash that brick yourself?

  6. HI Melanie
Just found your blog. Love both your trees, this and previous post. The fireplace makeover is fabulous too, so much better in the lighter tones, it makes a huge difference.

Have a great week .. Julie
