Dining Room Sprucing

March is here and as much as I love snow, I'm finally thinking Spring. I started doing a little Easter sprucing in my dining room.

These shutters once held my daughter's artwork in the office, but that space is now being used for the new bookcase. I'm thinking of mounting them here behind Grace (a little higher obviously). What do you think?

Everyone loves hydrangeas, but I love them even more these days. I've let the water run out in this vase TWICE and just when I think these are done, they just need more water. They're thirsty suckers but are totally perked up again. Tough flowers. Much tougher than roses that only last a few days no matter what I do.

Can't wait for the rest of the snow to melt and to have dirt under my fingernails from gardening.
Oh, and I almost forgot ... What a surprise success my giveaway has been! Its certainly the most popular item I've ever given away and I really can't believe how many people have stopped by. I've loved reading all the comments stating what you'll use the gift card for.

  7. I think the shutters would look great on that wall - add a nice element of texture. You're looking mighty springy around your house. I haven't done any spring decorating yet, but I just might this weekend. Thanks for the motivation.
