Patio Clean-Up

My patio looked so good at the end of last summer after adding the potting bench and mosquito net Ikea curtains.

I wish I could say that it was looking this good now, but the curtains aren't up yet, the patio floor finish was damaged by salt this winter, and pollen is coating everything.  Also, despite all the raking and sweeping, there seems to be neverending leaves everywhere.  I have work to do here and I'm thinking about more.  The finish on the table doesn't look so great these days.  Its so dim with the shade of the trees in the summer.  I keep thinking that the table is begging me for a coat of white paint ...  Hmmm ...

  6. Love your patio! I like the idea of painting the table white even though it may be harder to keep clean. I am sure you will have it looking like this or even better in no time.

  15. It looks gorgeous in that image. I am one inch away from buying the IKEA mosquito netting. Did you use it for that purpose? Or just for looks? How did you put it up???

  17. Your patio looks just gorgeous! I bought some netting at IKEA to use this year instead of the solid curtains I used last year. I hear ya about the pollen. That's why I haven't even bothered with my porch yet!

  19. Looks beautiful! I'm using those same net curtains in my temporary lodgings here in San Diego. They cover vertical blinds (that are very ugly!)

  21. Every fall, I think I'll do it in spring . . . and every spring I wonder why I didn't do it in fall! Sigh -- that's the way it is this year as well -- but hopefully, I will do what I need to do in fall THIS year!

  22. The Shiny Pebble,
They were totally fine after a season. I just took them down, threw them in the wash and folded the to store for the winter. Once the pollen subsides, I'll put them back up.
