Road Trip!

Next week, we're packing up and going to visit the Biltmore Estate and I cannot wait!

I've been dying to go to the spring Festival of Flowers for a couple of years now but its never materialized.  We started talking about it again a few months ago and kept deciding against it after considering how disasterous past trips with our two little monsters have been.  The idea of a 8+ hour car ride with them didn't exactly seem appealing but we finally just decided to go for it.  We're hoping to also take a drive through the Great Smoky Mountains for a day at Dollywood in Tennessee.  We've booked another trip tentatively for Vermont, Maine and Salem, Mass for July so this trip is going to be a trial run.  I'm sure I'll have photos to share when I get back.  Look out fellow touists, here we come!

  3. My mother visited the Biltmore some years ago and I was so jealous!!! I've seen pictures of the inside, but I'd love to see it in person, of course!
Hopefully you will have a great trip and everything will go smoothly!

  7. I love the Biltmore, and it´s gorgeous this time of year. If you need a place to stay, I rec. the Sweetbiscuit B&B--it´s in an old house and they have yummy, yummy breakfast and fun rooms. There is just so much to do in Asheville.

  8. You are going to fall in love with Biltmore. Take your camera and good walking shoes. I've been there about 6 times and I never get tired of it. If you can, have lunch there.

    Hugs, Gretchen
