I picked up this tray about a year ago at a thrift store and other than painting it from its originial natural wood color to white hadn't done anything with it.
Chalkboard paint on trays is nothing new so I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me.
I had hoped to line it with vintage wallpaper, but unlike other people out there who manage to find the stuff, I wasn't quite so lucky. This was a fun alternative.
Don't laugh at my artwork. I never said I was an artist!
This is very clever! It may not be a new idea, but I've never seen it done before. What a great idea!! And by the way, I think your little pumpkin is really cute!

Hi Melanie, thanks so much for your sweet comment on my White Wine Cabinet. I love your project too, seems it's project time in America these days:) Really love your blog, such a pretty home you have, and with children I"m sure it's not easy to keep up, but you do a great job, thanks again, tami
ReplyDeletelooks good. I really like those shelves you have to with the white cups above it too
ReplyDeleteThank you Anna. I get comments all the time about those shelves. They are actually a wine rack from Pottery Barn and are no longer available. We had a wine rack installed in our kitchen and we no longer needed the wine storage so I just use them as regular shelves.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, what a great idea! The tray is great!!
ReplyDeleteLove it. I love the many uses of chalkboard paint!
