White Christmas Dining Room

I want to have a pretty table on Christmas Eve and thought I'd figure out what to do.  Last year, I did red accents, but this year, its all white and silver.

I changed things from the rustic look of fall ...

... to silver and white for the holidays.

I used some lace placemats my grandmother gave me, and added chargers I picked up at Michaels to thrift store dishes,$1 store dishcloths for napkins and my flea market jewelry.

My Christmas apron is back along with another flea market pin.

I left the sideboard somewhat simple.

Other than the apron and stacked milk glass on the table which has a few ornaments, there is nothing else that says Christmas so this will carry me through winter.

Do you decorate your dining room for the holidays?

  1. Hi Melanie! I love silver and white and your Dining Room looks lovely! I did decorate my Dining Room-I used cranberry with touches of gold this year. I did however, use the bottom half of a creamware soup tureen as my centerpiece this year in the middle of a wreath that has pinecones, cinnamon sticks and red/cranberry Christmas balls tucked inside!

  3. I love the dress form in the corner! I had one in our dining room for years and called her June Cleaver. She has since been promoted to the hallway outside the bedrooms upstairs where she stands waiting for the restroom in her french bathrobe... It is sometimes silly to play house around here! I love your blog. Have a peaceful day!

  7. This is very pretty. I love the way you incorporated the milk glass dishes into a centerpiece. I have a bowl with a similar edge on it. I do decorate my dining room and you can see it on my blog post for Nov. 22 - sparkly, silver and cream, if you'd like. Blessings,

  9. It's all so pretty. I love the white and silver theme. Your collection of jewelry is such a beautiful touch making everything sparkle.

I always try to decorate my dinning room for Christmas but I find the decorations get moved aside when my crafting begins. This year I'm keeping it very simple. A tray with candles and a little sparkle.
