Bathroom Progress!

Okay, the bathroom isn't done and I'm not sure when it will be but I decided to post progress since all the major work is finished and all that's left is details. The bathroom is very small, so I did the best I could with the pictures.

Sink and Tub Before ...

Tub after glazing! Its dry, but still curing, so that's the reason for the rubber glove on the faucet. We will be able to use it later today (the 24 hour mark).

Toilet Before ...

New sink and toilet!

New faucet ...

I hung my monogrammed Ballard shower curtain, but then realized that even though I ironed it before putting it in the linen closet, it has become wrinkled again, so I have to take it down again.

Floor Before ...

Floor After ...

I plan to paint the walls above the wainscotting a light grey. I have to pick up lavender towels and some accessories. Also, I'm not sure what to do above the toilet. I have that small shelf there now but I'm not sure if I should do something different. Suggestions?

(Oh, I wanted to add that the white cabinet, light fixture and mirror were all things that we replaced when we moved in. The bathroom was in even more dismal condition before but that was 5 years ago and I don't have digital pictures.)

  5. Looks great, Melanie!
My house was built in 1958 and all of our bathrooms had pink toilets, pink sinks, and pink tubs before we remodeled the house. I love pink color, but I don't know about pink bathroom. heehee...:D

  6. The cost to reglaze was $385 (a little less than expected).

    Reglaze - $320
Caulk - $40 (a lot for caulk, but I just hate dealing with caulk)
    Repair corroded spot - $25

  8. Hi Melanie! What a gorgeous room this is turning into! So much work but worth the effort! The first thing that came to my mind was those wall words to match your monogrammed shower curtain! Something simple in saying? Just a thought! I also saw some smaller frameless mirrors in pretty shapes at KMart that would be pretty on the side of your large one?? Anyway its beautiful as is too! - Jeannette

  9. I'm loving the way it's shaping up! Definitely looks a lot more sophisticated, so to say, much more classy!

As for the shelf, I remember reading about some tasteful arrangements of toilet paper that I really liked. I think it would go well with the overall look. I will check to see where I read it and will post again.
