I actually like rain. When it rains, I know my thirsty plants are happy with the deep drink of water.
Rain automatically makes a Sunday afternoon quiet and relaxing. Its like a mandatory break. Its one of those "makes you want to sleep" days. Of course, I don't get extra sleep with 2 little ones keeping me busy, but somehow it still feels cozy in the house like none of us should be going anywhere. I also love when it rains at night and I can hear the raindrops pounding the house while I'm warm in bed.
Today is a little bittersweet because as much as I like rainy days, I'd hoped to spend the day outside in the garden. I guess it was not meant to be.

I have to agree with you. I never used to like rain before, but I have fallen in love with the times when it rains. There's just something so special about those rainy gloomy days when you have the chance to stay home, snuggled up in bed with a book! I also love storms, especially at night.
