Remember this custom made potting bench I fell in love with?
For a while now, I've been looking for an inexpensive china cabinet that I could convert to make something like the above. Yesterday, when I was out looking for light fixtures for my kitchen (no luck) I finally found one that was perfect. Not too big, some drawers for garden tools, some cabinets for other things and glass cabinets on top with lattice. I plan to remove the glass at the very least and paint it a similar green shade. Why no picture? Well, I haven't figured out how to get it home yet! I'm working on it!
EDIT: As of noon today, its on its way to my house. Woo hoo! Already dreaming of mixing green paint ... ;-)
Ooooh yes...this is gorgeous! I can't wait to see! Will you just put it in the yard like this? I would love one, but have no space other than that. I'll be following along to see what you do...Debbie
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! Actually, I'm going to put it on my covered patio. I don't imagine it would weather so well in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI probably won't use it for potting plants. We have a shed where we can keep garden tools, but I always found it a hassle to have to walk down there, unlock it, etc. just to get a spade. So, I will use the bottom to store things I use a lot. The top will be perfect for entertaining!
Oh my that is a wonderful potting bench. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI, too, dream of mixing paint...it's kind of scary. I am SO excited to see your find! Just remember to breathe...love your blog, BTW...just joined. Thanks for following...and showing some love. Have an awesome week and OH! Check out the giveaway post from today. Hugs,
