Well, I haven't organized much, but I made a discovery last night that almost made me cry! While going through my mess of stuff and moving things around, I found this ...
They're my Happy Girl's footprints from the hospital. I had no idea I even had this and was always sad that I never had them. I had a c-section and thought maybe they just forgot the extra set for me with everything going on. While going through a folder of things given to me after I left the hospital, I found it. I was in a lot of pain, in a fog from all the drugs and extremely busy with 2 little ones that I guess I just never bothered to look through the folder. What a happy discovery - a true treasure.
Anyway, I've arranged the bins and boxes to maximize the amount of storage I have. It actually took some time to get it like this! Here's the result.
Much better than before, don't you think? I didn't photograph the lowest shelf because that will be changed. When all is said and done, I'm hoping for something like this.
Mr. T is working-at-home in the office so I can't work in there today. What can I do ... hmmm ...
OK - couple of things - if you don't mind - and if you do - no biggy. About the baby foot prints. You said you were extremely busy with 2 little ones, does that mean twins or just 2 babies of different ages at home? Just being nosy - sorry. Sweet little prints - they grow up so fast - my girl is going to be a sophomore in COLLEGE and it's just a little (OK - a lot) scary!
ReplyDeleteNext, your bins are just too cute and the colors are great! Makes you want to get in there and do some work. I'm re-doing my craft room which also does double duty as the computer room and Meghan (my daughter's) "play" room and I have a very specific look in mind and I'm just not going to settle!!
Have a good one -
Hi Lynette,
ReplyDeleteNo, not twins! My older daughter was 22 months old when I brought home my newborn. It was pretty chaotic there for a few months. ;-)
That organization makes me swoon - well done.
ReplyDeleteOh! just take some time off and pull out that great print of those little feet and hug and kiss it. That is to cute....Sandi
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy- it looks great!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could frame the footprints and include them in the office redo? I love finding things that make me so happy- and living with them in full view guarantees a smile.
Lovely! I love the bins, the color is awesome! I agree with Carolyn (above), about framing the footprints.
ReplyDeleteAlso, are you going to label those bins? I'm just being curious too.
It looks great though! Good luck.
Manuela,
ReplyDeleteYes, I plan to label the bins after I organize everything into them. I have such a mess of things to deal with but I'm making great progress. This project is long overdue.
Framing the footprints is a great idea. The only problem is that I'm running out of wall space!
