Drop Cloth Drapes

I got a really great deal on some Simply Shabby Chic bedding that was marked on clearance at Target a while back.  I wanted some curtains that would pick up the taupe color for fall and winter but I couldn't find anything that was the right color.  Then I remembered the drop cloth drapes that were all the rage a while ago.  I brought them home and I think the color is as close as I'm going to get.  I also like the small bit of texture they have to them.

I'm hoping to do a little more than just hang them as-is.  Now all I need is a bit of time to squeeze this project into my busy schedule.

Have a good weekend!

And...they are hemmed all the way around! I have used them in making a slip cover and didn't have to hem the ruffle! Hope you are havng a great weekend!...hugs...Debbie

  9. I just washed my drop cloth curtains for the second time. They shrunk about 2 inches in lengths. I recommend washing the drop cloths in hot water a couple times before you make them. I washed mine in warm and barely dried them in the dryer because they wrinkle something fierce. I hung them up while they were fairly damp and they don't touch the floor anymore.
    Good luck with yours.
