For my half bath ...

Along with the French desk and mannequin I've posted about, I got this pretty corner cabinet for $75 at the same store.

You might be thinking - pretty? Pretty hideous maybe. Well, like the desk, I couldn't get it home and needed to wait for my dad to bring it to my house in his truck. In the meantime, he stripped it. You can see where he started doing it ...

And, he painted it for me! For the time being, its in my parents dining room. I'm planning to use in our half bath when we redo it.

I'd like to buy some new hardware for it, but I'm still looking. I'm also considering painting the inside a different color. We'll see ...

Take a peek at the other transformations at Between Naps on the Porch ...

... and Southern Hospitality for all the other great finds!

  4. Thank you all!

My dad never sits still and he's always doing something. I suppose I get my nervous energy from him. He's retired, so he has more time for these things than I do and now that they have a new house with less maintenece, he has fewer things to do. I told him that I planned to paint it and if he wanted do, he could paint it for me if he had time. I guess he had the time! ;-)

  5. I have a corner cupboard that's a lot like yours. It is painted about the same color and I have had the inside painted both a sage green color and now I have the inside painted black. The black really shows off the pieces I have in the cupboard!!

  6. That really doesn't even look like the same piece!! The white makes the dentil molding at the top really stand out! I think painting the inside would be great idea -
